Worry, fear, distress, are overwhelming to cope through at times. Add in the stressors from our ever shifting world… that’s where talk therapy or art therapy may provide a space for support! My goal as a counselor is that of a non-judgmental advocate to provide clients a safe place to openly share about issues and experiences. I endeavor to help clients achieve solutions to their concerns, and my approach to therapy is that of a listener and sounding board. I enjoy helping educate clients, while also encouraging them to process tough circumstances in order to gain insight from personal experiences.

My therapeutic background takes root in cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems/attachment theories, neuroscience, and trauma informed care. I received my counseling and art therapy masters degree at Wayne State University, and my undergraduate studies in art and psychology from Western Michigan University.

I have familiarity in working with a multitude of concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, and addiction. Working with cognitive distortions, grief, and self-esteem issues is also something I can help with. One of my personal passions is in helping individuals cope through experiences like infertility, difficulty in trying to conceive, reproductive assistive treatments, pregnancy, birth trauma, postpartum, miscarriage.

No matter the concern you have about your mental health and the many challenges in between, you are not alone, and your story matters. Have you been in need of support during your healing journey? If so, please don’t hesitate to contact Embrace Change Therapy to set up a 15 minute consultation to get started. Your health and wellness is important, and you deserve to feel better.
